Jurnal Sosiologi Agama Indonesia (JSAI)

Jurnal Sosiologi Agama Indonesia (JSAI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access interdisciplinary scholarly journal published by the Department of Sociology of Religion, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Established in 2020, JSAI is published exclusively online three times a year, in March, July, and November.

JSAI publishes original empirical, theoretical, conceptual, historical, and review articles focusing on the sociology of religion and the socio-religious dimensions of social life. The journal examines relationships among religion, society, culture, institutions, identities, moral values, and social change. It also welcomes interdisciplinary social sciences and humanities research that makes a substantive contribution to understanding religious or socio-religious phenomena in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and wider comparative or transnational contexts.

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers through a double-anonymized peer-review process. Editorial decisions are based on originality, academic contribution, theoretical and methodological quality, evidential adequacy, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope.
